Dr. Toriana Smith
The Book of Life Candle Co. was founded by Dr. Toriana Smith, an Atlanta native and mother of three, whose love for fragrance has always been deeply personal.

In 2018, after a season of significant life change, Dr. Smith found herself re-evaluating priorities and letting go of many small luxuries. What followed was not loss, but discovery.
​
In 2020, she began researching candle making, determined to create for herself what she could no longer purchase. As she studied the craft and the business behind it, a simple idea transformed into a purpose-driven brand.

With faith as her foundation, The Book of Life Candle Co. launched in March 2021, offering hand-poured candles designed to inspire reflection, warmth, and light in every season.

Founded in Psalms 119:105, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path,” our mission is to share the Word of God through faith-inspired candles that are poured into a one-of-a-kind handmade concrete vessel, reminding us that just as no two vessels are the same, every soul is uniquely and purposefully created.

Our vision is to be a beacon of light in the marketplace, offering candles that fill spaces with fragrance while also inspiring spiritual reflection, meaningful conversations, and lasting connections.
